HALAL-LOGISTICS

CXL HALAL is one of SEJUNG GROUP’s global brands.

Supported by the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs (MAFRA) and Korea Food Research Institute,
SEJUNG GROUP collaborated with the Korea Institute of Halal Industry to implement a national government project.
In 2019, CXL HALAL piloted a Halal logistics system, building a dedicated transportation network.
This pilot run, organized by the Korea Food Research Institute, aimed to boost the exportation of Halal products from Korea.
Leading global logistics standards authorities, such as Malaysia's JAKIM, Indonesia's MUI, UAE's ESMA, and Singapore's MUIS,
conducted certifications for logistics centers, transportation, and terminals to ensure the integrity of the Halal supply chain.

CXL HALAL prepares halal logistics certification
to provide standardized logistic service.

CXL HALAL has acquired halal logistic certification from KMF,
accredited by Malaysia’s JAKIM (Department of Islamic Development Malaysia),
enabling us to provide the very first halal logistic service in Korea.
Additionally, we are also seeking certifications from Malaysia (JAKIM),
Indonesia (MUI), UAE (ESMA), and Singapore (MUIS) to ensure compliance with halal integrity standards.

This proven logistics management system model is expected to be applicable to pharmaceutical bio supply chain management.

SERTU

WHAT

• The Islamic purifying activity involves washing the affected area to prevent contamination from Mughallazah stool (pigs & dogs) and its descendants. This action is in accordance with the Malaysian Standards of Halalan Toyyiban Assurance Pipeline Requirement.
WHO

• Can be done by both Muslims and non-Muslims. However, it needs to be monitored by Muslim personnel or officers from the Halal Certification Body.
WHY

• As a ritual cleansing performed by Muslims when they come into contact with the heaviest najis in Islam.
WHEN

• Preventive and damage control – eliminates element of impurities and contaminations.
HOW

• Using clay or clay dust. Clean for 7 time (1 pail of clay water + 6 pail of clean water)
WHERE

• Any equipment, transport, places that have been in contact with the najs.

How to use?

Manual

< Sertu in container >

1. Clean the area to remove the impurities using detergent.
2. Rinse the first wash until it clearly clean
3. Prepare the equipment and material needed.
4. Mix the clay and water.
5. Clean thoroughly using the clay water and then rinse it for 6 times with clean water
6. After done the cleansing, the Muslim supervisor will check the process.
※ Note : The requirement for the process of Sertu (ritual cleansing) need to be monitored
by a Muslim personnel or officer from the halal certification body.
7. After done the cleansing process, the container need to be sealed to avoid any contamination.
8. The officer can placed a sticker to show that the container have been Sertu.
